Hallways can be tight, furniture can impinge, or you simply want a door to disappear out of sight when not in use. All of these are good reasons to utilize a sliding pocket door system. The idea of pocket doors might invoke images of heavy wooden doors with noisy or difficult to use hardware. RAYDOOR has brought the idea of a pocket door forward, with smooth and quiet hardware that is trouble and maintenance free. Being a RAYDOOR system, you can opt for translucency so that even when you want privacy, you won’t have to choose between privacy and light! Functioning the same way as our single sliding doors, sliding pocket doors can be used individually or in symmetrical pairs for larger openings. For even larger openings, take a look at our multi-panel sliding pocket walls that act as room dividers when you want them and disappear when you don’t.

POCKET DOORS SOLVE FOR TIGHT SPACES
When clearance limits the use of swinging or pivot doors and wall space doesn’t allow for sliding doors, a pocket door may be the best solution. Pocket sliding doors make the most of tight spaces by disappearing into the wall. We offer both one- and two-panel symmetrical options so you can create the privacy you need when design constraints (or aesthetics) demand an option.

Advantages of Raydoor Sliding Pocket Systems
1. Zero-maintenance
A common concern for pockets is “what do I do if/when my door needs maintenance?” – Our hardware is cycle tested and maintenance free so no need to worry.
2. Hardware in advance available
Receive your tracks and in wall system components prior to the door and have the system installed during construction. Just tell your design consultant you want advanced tracks!
3. Full-frame visible
Our RAYDOOR guiding system allows the full frame of our sliding pocket doors to be visible when closing off a space, where alternatives require part of the door to remain in the pocket
4. Semi-Concealed Edge pull
Our newly designed edge pull is designed to work with our unique TwinFameTM blending into the frame, only visible when used to retrieve a pocket door from the pocket
5. Privacy
Our pocket sliding door is one of our most private options and we offer upgrades to make it even more so if you prefer
No Floor Track Needed for Pocket Doors
As with most everything we offer, we are able to avoid a floor track when most other manufacturers require one. For those that insist, floor track is available, but for those that agree with our philosophy that a seamless transition from one room to the next can help visually connect spaces (while avoiding a floor track that would collect dust and debris), we have devised a unique solution. Raydoor pocket doors eliminate the need by handling the guiding of the door with a floor guide that exists only in the pocket. As the door extends outward from the pocket, special fittings at the back (or trailing part) of the door maintain their connection to that concealed guide, giving stability and preventing swaying of the panel. This same solution eliminates the need for a “stop” at the back of the pocket, reducing the chance of ever needing to service the door. Not magic – just experience and thoughtful design.

The Raydoor TwinFrame™ Patented Design
Raydoor’s design utilizes acrylic or other resins as structural glazing. This makes for a very light sliding pocket door – typically about half the weight of a glass pocket door for a given size. That light weight means the door is easier to install, operate and has less wear and tear over time for trouble-free use.
The TwinFrame, whether it’s for a pocket door system or some other type of door or room divider, is made by “sandwiching” that acrylic glazing between two identical frames. This yields a strong door which is highly customizable.
